Profiling: Valeria Sanchez

She has set Divas Unleashed on fire, with a long reign as the Rockford State Championship, the stripper has become one of the most liked superstars on the roster, but her career has not been a smooth piece of tarmac, in fact, it’s been stabbed with bumps. Get ready as we profile that Latin Fire, Valeria Sanchez.

The stripper from Miami, Florida debuted at pay per view, My Immortal, and immediately became a hit with the men. Her red hair and killer body weren’t the only things impressive about the new diva, after she used her finisher “The Flame Thrower” to score a victory on Alexandra to kick of the big event.

Her Exile debut wasn’t so easy, as she took on one of the most successful women in history, Katrina, where she suffered a loss. But that was not to hold the fiery diva back, because she was then signed to a match the following week which could make or break her career.

And make it did, as she wrestled Cleopatra for the Rockford State Championship and displayed what an amazing wrestler she is, in a shock win, it was one of the fastest championship claims ever at only two previous appearances.

Valeria Sanchez then teamed with Alexandra to take on the Tag Team Champions, Evil Majesty Inc., against the woman she just beat the week previously, Cleopatra. It would be the Queen of the Nile who picks up the pinfall on Alexandra, but after the match her so-called partner Alexandra turned on Valeria by attacking her with her finisher, to say the least.

This lead to them facing off at the pay per view once again, just a under a month after their simultaneous debut together. It was Valeria’s first championship defense and it was to be successful as she downed Alexandra with the same move she did when they first fought.

That wasn’t all that Valeria won that night either, as Holly Wentz watched the Latin Fire pick up the victory. The two exchanged glances before Valeria paraded with a title that in her own words, she “revolutionized”.

The following week, on the post-ppv Exile, Bianca and Valeria Sanchez teamed up to take on The Bod Squad, in that stable was also Holly Wentz. Valeria and Holly then got lost in each others eyes which caused Bianca to fall to a pinfall.

Embarking on DU’s European Tour, Dee Snuts and Valeria Sanchez then teamed up together to wrestle The Lee Sisters, but Valeria was suffering from an injury which explained her tag team matches, so she didn’t have to carry it and further her injury. It also was a chance to put over Dee Snuts, who was a real-life friend of the champion.

The same night, Valeria Sanchez was thrown into the back of a boot by masked assailants, and didn’t re-appear until Silencio Mortal, where she was shown in a horrendous and sickening state.

Valeria was to return two weeks later though, but she failed to come the rescue of Holly Wentz after she was cornered by the Bod Squad. This lead to the debut of Nyssa thanks to Valeria Sanchez, as the two were strippers.

Valeria Sanchez would not wrestle for the rest of the year, and was now holding her championship for close to four months in January. At the final pay per view and event of the year, Xiak Xande, Katrina won a battle royal.

Valeria came down to the ring to try and ambush Katrina, but the Queen of Pain managed to attack her and then proceeded to steal her title. That was a title that Valeria Sanchez would never get back.

Leading up to the earned match between Katrina and Valeria for the championship, Valeria Sanchez’s friend Nyssa disowned her and she moaned to Shane that Katrina had her title. She did get one thing from her former partner though, Nyssa’s hand can buy a lot of things.

A match was set up that the Latin Fire requested, a ladder match. At Nuclear Pussy, thanks to interference from Miss Rhiannon and Kristin Wallace, Valeria Sanchez lost her championship to the history making Katrina.

Now, Valeria Sanchez remains as one of the most credible champions ever, with her sexy look, and unmistakable wrestling skills. We’ll have to wait and see what kind of a year 2004 holds for the Latin Fire. Will she create a bonfire which nobody can distinguish?
