Ring Attire: Crystal's hair is black with red streaks, and always wears it down. Though her outfits differ slightly from week to week, her top is mainly tight fitting black leather tanktops, while her pants range from faded jeans, to baggy cargos, and occasionally tight leather pants.
Ring Entrance: "Brackish" by Kittie hits the PA system as light blue strobes dance around on the stage. "She is not scared...to die...". Crystal runs out on stage moshing & headbanging for the crowd. "The best things in life drive her to cry..."She runs from one side of the ramp to the other before walking down the ramp jamming to her entrance music. "CRUCIFY THEN BURN!!!"Once she reaches the ring apron, she pulls herself up and then leans her back against the ropes. She then falls backwards into the ring and lands on her feet. She pulls her head up slowly at first, with her hair down in front of her face. She then in one quickly motion flings her head back, with her hair a blur of light blue, as she places her arms in the air. She then walks over to the turnbuckle and poses for the crowd for a few seconds. She steps down adjusts the bottom of her pants.
Biography: Growing up in Spokane, Washington, Ashley Deymonaz was captain of her high school wrestling team and always known for being a bit of a tom-boy. After graduating from UCLA, she fell in love with a fellow UCLA student who she followed to Mexico City for his dreams of becoming a luchadore wrestler. It was here Crystal officially began her training and style of wrestling. She and her boyfriend were eventually spotted by Vern Wheeler, President of the GWF and were given contracts. She adopted the moniker “Crystal” to add to her boyfriend’s persona, “Icer”. It was in the GWF that she met and competed against the likes of Tequila, Tara Lee, Lightning and Mya .
It was in GWF that Crystal made a name for herself, outshining that of her boyfriend’s career, causing their relationship to suffer from jealousy. After a long and bitter feud, Crystal defeated the long-reigning Tequila, winning the GWF Women’s Championship. The win was to be short-lived however, as GWF closed it’s doors soon after.
Finding themselves unemployed, Tequila and Crystal began performing at house shows in what would eventually become the first incarnation of Divas Unleashed. Joined by divas Katrina and Taylor, the group caught the attention of Shane Rockford who would buy-out Divas Unleashed, rebrand the promotion, hire new divas and launch it onto cable television in 2002.
During the franchise’s first few years, Crystal went on to become one of the most prominent figures in Divas Unleashed history, known not only for her alcoholism, wit and humor, but also her infamous feuds with Katrina, Mya and Star. She boasted many accolades during this time as well, holding the Tag Team, Stripped and Unleashed Championships, as well as hosting the first Femmy Awards, her own television series with Krysta Taylor and being inducted into the Divas Unleashed Hall of Fame. She made interpromotional headlines when she and Kaci Russell captured the 3WL Tag Team Championships. She also released an album and an autobiography, establishing a trend that many later divas would later follow.
During mid-2004, Crystal suffered an injury at the hands of her former group, the Bod Squad, and was forced to make only cameo or one-off match appearances in Divas Unleashed until 2009 when she was officially cleared to wrestle again on a permanent basis. Now among the most veteran of the roster, Crystal was able to reclaim the Unleashed Championship for a 2nd time from Meggie Skyefyre, after a memorable feud with The Bronze Assassin. Unfortunately, Crystal was stripped of the championship and fired moments later by Tara Lee, giving her the shortest reign in the championship’s history.
Crystal was rehired shortly after and now seeks to reestablish her dominance over the new class of Divas Unleashed divas. What does the future hold of the Femme Fatale?
