DU stars invited to 3WL tournament

HONOLULU---Divas Unleashed divas have been invited to participate in a tournament in rival promotion 3WL to compete for the World Heavyweight Championship. The move comes as part of a new shake-up at 3WL and smoother relations between both DU and 3WL following a spat at the end of 2009.

KibbyD, Mercedes Vargas and Veronica Valiant have all been confirmed to join Athenas in the ring in a tournament which will be spread over two nights, highlighting the possibility of DU stars taking 3WL for the second time. Crystal Deymonaz and Kaci captured the 3WL Tag Team Championships back in 2004.

Shared talent such as Crystal Hilton and Angel Kash will also be participating but both divas will be representing 3WL in the tournament, and DU alumni Dame Barbara will be making a return to the ring to mark the occassion. Last year, Felicity failed to capture Serena Royale's Sky High Championship at 3WL's Anniversary Show and 3WL star Nicky Silver caused a scene at Forsaken Destiny's VIP party.

Rumors of a joint PPV between 3WL and DU have been circulating Twitter in the last few weeks but both companies have squashed the news any event will take place this summer after a fan created a fake poster for an event entitled "Course II Collision" which prompted the denials from both promotions, who were otherwise riding on the positive buzz.

Divas are able to sign up for the tournament by visiting 3WL.

Isn't there an "Arrested Development" movie currently in the making? I could have sworn there was a movie on the way. It was a show that had lots of critics loving it, but supposedly cancelled because it was a comedy before its time...well, that is something I remember hearing it be described as. Was it low ratings?

For those of you who don't know or not read the last CLASH results, so far DU's Champion Veronica Valiant and Rockford State Champion Mercedes Vargas have made it through the first round of Tournament A. KibbyD lost in the first round to Valerie Belmont, but was awarded the re-established Television Championship (formally the All Pacific Championship) by Commissioner Pride and Inspector Strawberry! Plus, Veronica and Crystal Hilton have now developed a highly personal and intense rivalry.

As seen on the 8/13th edition of Clash in Berlin, Germany, Divas Unleashed Rockford State Champion Mercedes Vargas was injured in her Athena Cup Tournament quarterfinal match against Valerie Belmont. The incident happened when she hit her left knee on the corner turnbuckle going after Valerie at one point during the match. Though Mercedes was able to finish the match and move on to the semi-final round later that night.

Mercedes was visibly upset and took out her aggression on her fellow DU counterpart and semi-final opponent, Unleashed Champion Veronica Valiant, for not supporting her in the match against Valerie nor coming to her aid at the height of the injury; however, Veronica would seize this rare opportunity and would capitalize on Mercedes' injury in order to qualify for the finals of the Athena Cup Tournament where she defeated Dame Barbara Windsor to win the Tournament A single-elimination bracket and thus become one of the two challengers for the vacant 3WL World Championship.

Mercedes was seen backstage with trainers after the match, and reports are saying that because of Veronica's actions, the injury is much more severe than once thought. She was also reportedly seen leaving on crutches and wearing a brace around the knee sometime after Clash went off the air. Mercedes is set to face former three-time World Champion Eva Rodriquez and 3WL newcomer Jessica Richardson in the first of five triple threat matches scheduled for the opening round of Tournament B in two weeks on the next episode of Clash in Prague, Czech Republic.

Well, since apparently making regular updates here is fairly low on the 3WL management priority list - I don't know why, because they do very little else - allow me to fill you ignorant folks in.

The Mercedes Situation: Yeah, torn ACL. Ouch. And I'm willing to hold my hands up and admit that I...didn't exactly help matters back in Germany. Of course, Mercedes is a trooper, and went ahead with her match in Prague nonetheless. Shame she didn't win, what with Jessica Richardson getting damned lucky, but at least she didn't seem to hurt herself anymore than she already had. That's something, I suppose.

Why I'm Not 3WL Champion Yet: No idea, actually. Apparently someone thought it was clever to hold another tournament just to find someone to lose to me in *shudder* Aberdeen, as opposed to just giving me the damn belt when I beat their supposed 'legend' Old Dame Babsy, or whatever she's called. Personally, I think they're just trying to delay the inevitable. So sad.

And Next Time On That Other Show: There's a few more trivialities to decide the aforementioned loser I'll soon be squashing, but more importantly, someone on the quote-unquote management is trying to re-heat the long-dead 'feud' between our two companies. So it's me, Merc and...urgh...Kibby...against the Dame, someone with a goldfish, and some sort of dog. Suffice to say, the only reason this could conceivably end badly is if Little Miss Glam screws it up for us, so, Kibbs, consider yourself on notice; if your incompetence gets me embarassed in public, I will have your dog thrown into a weed-whacker and make you eat its remains.

And there you have it. Within a few short months, the same status quo that reigns within DU has been established within 3WL as well; namely, I rule and everyone else fights for mere scraps of my attention. Good work, if I do say so myself.

She failed to mention that if I the great Crystal Hilton win 2 more matches she will finally be facing me for the world title, and there will finally be no security to hold us apart from getting at the other. I truly can't wait, it will be a special day indeed. If Veronica ends up in the hospital after our encounter i am not to be held at fault.
