Britney Spears sweeps Diva's Choice Awards 2009
LAS VEGAS--Britney Spears has obliterated the competition in the fan-voted for Diva's Choice Awards 2009. Britney picked up the award of Moment of the Year for her triumphant comeback, as well as Song of the Year, Album of the Year and Music Artist of the Year and with huge margins to boot.
Britney love is one of the many phases sweeping Divas Unleashed, with the divas going gaga for her ever since "Circus" came out. Kylie Minogue took one of the highest honours by claiming "Most Fabulous Woman of the Year", surprising many by defeating the odds-on favourite Victoria Beckham.
Elsewhere, Playboy comedy The House Bunny beat Sex and the City and Mamma Mia to take "Movie of the Year". One of DU’s cited influences and diva favourite America's Next Top Model took favourite television show.
Heidi Montag had a taste of some actual success for once by beating the universally-disliked Aubrey O'Day and talentless Cheryl Cole to claim the title of "Most Unfabulous Woman" in the most unhonourable award of the night.
Relative unknown Kellan Lutz beat out stiff competition from Christian Bale and last year’s winner David Beckham to become "Sexiest Male of the Year" and posters of the actor (preferably ones where he’s shirtless) will be put up around the DU locker rooms from now.
"Music Video of the Year" went to Russian group t.A.T.u for their video "White Robe", which has inspired the Divas Unleashed short 'Waste Management' that is currently airing in Asia. Taylor Wilde also picked up "Wrestler of the Year", beating out Meggie-impersonator Angelina Love and monster-heel Awesome Kong.
