Exile in Hawaii card announced Divas Unleashed has unveiled the upcoming card for Exile in Hawaii as it mounts its comeback and promises a show packed full of surprises, and appearance by Cheryl Cole who will be marking the comeback with a special opening performance. The main event sees Laura Seton team up with younger sister Madison Seton to take on the champions team of Mercedes Vargas and Veronica Valiant, informally known as VVMV, in what will be an explosive encounter.
Elsewhere, Stripped division fans have their hands on a dream match as Crystal Hilton teams up with Katie Kooper to take on Christine McQuisten and Makaze in what will no doubt be a match filled with backstabbing and betrayal, and Aphrodite challenges Kibby in singles action, whilst the Askai Championship contendership is on the line and Blonde Ambition are fully reunited and return to the ring. DU launches new Mattel deal Divas Unleashed has signed a deal with Mattel to produce a line of dolls of DU superstars entitled 'D-Dolls'. The deal was first agreed in secrecy in late March but has only just been finalised, with reporters from around the globe attempting a special launch party at the First Lady in Las Vegas earlier today.
Talks with Mattel, who are the makers of Barbie, have been in rumoured for the last two years but only recently was a formal deal agreed between both parties following continuous disagreements over proposed designs, money and copyright ownership. To celebrate this new deal, Mattel have unveiled a limited edition collection of dolls which will go on sale later this month. The dolls feature Hall of Fame inductees and famous DU faces doused in Bulgari diamonds with outfits designed by Thierry Mugler. Full Story
Askai Championship stipulation 'to be changed' Divas Unleashed is to announce on the next Exile episode that the stipulations of the Askai Championship are to be changed, Newswire has exclusively discovered. According to our sources, the weight limit of the Askai Championship which is currently set at 130lbs is to be abolished and replaced with a new system of contendership for the belt.
The new system would turn the Askai Championship from a 'cruiserweight' championship into a 'newcomers' championship which would state that divas who want to challenge for the belt must have joined the company with the last year. The exact limits for eligibility are still being discussed but it is believed that the time frame could range from the last 12 months to the last 16 months (since the challenger signed their contract). Tiger Lily to become trainer amidst internal DU shifts
Divas Unleashed has revealed plans to rearrange the company today, following last month's announcement that the Askai Championship was to become a newcomers championship. The moves come as DU shares reach their lowest point since 2008, causing the company to feel the need to improve its current state in order to survive against a thriving 3WL and Ring of Beauty.
Tiger Lily is to take over from former diva Oceania at DU's training camp, Divas In Training. Oceania has been released from her contract, having served as head trainer at the facility since 2004. The move comes as Divas Unleashed tries to improve its training facilities, following its lack of success in producing top talent. Full Story
